Why almonds from Spain?
Spain is Europe's largest almond producer and number two worldwide after California — with one decisive difference: varietal diversity. While California focuses on a few industrial varieties, Spain covers the full spectrum from buttery premium (Marcona) to plannable industrial quality (Guara).
European buyers gain structural advantages on top: short supply chains instead of overseas transport, EU food law without third-country imports, a better carbon footprint — and with modern irrigated orchards expanding, growing and increasingly plannable harvests.
Harvest runs from August to October depending on variety and region. To secure annual volumes, contract right after harvest — exactly where we come in as your buyer on the ground.

Choosing made simple.
As a rule of thumb: Marcona for premium snacks and gourmet, Largueta for roasting and chocolate, Comuna and Valencia for marzipan and industry, Guara for plannable annual volumes at competitive prices. When in doubt, we sample several varieties against your recipe.
Spanish almonds offer more varietal diversity and the more robust flavour European recipes demand — plus short supply chains, EU food law and a better carbon footprint. California wins on sheer volume; Spain is catching up with modern orchards.
Right after harvest (September to November) supply is broadest and price discovery most transparent. Premium varieties like Marcona are allocated early — secure them in good time.
